My sister's homemade chocolate

My sister, a few days ago was in the kitchen for so long, so I went in to see what she was upto. I saw a cocoa powder container which filled me with excitement, as I went nearer I got to witness the sight of a beautiful silky textured chocolate paste evenly spread out onto a mould which was to be kept inside the fridge. I was eagerly waiting to taste it. After a few hours she brought it to me; it had not hardened, but it tasted incredible nonetheless. I never imagined that homemade chocolate could measure upto the store-bought ones. Her chocolate tasted like a mix of different popular brands.

My sister always ensures that we eat healthy, so she experiments and makes her wonderful attempts at creating a homemade version of most things that we enjoy eating. My sister's homemade versions are the best; from ketchup to spreads. I lover her innovative, experimentative zeal towards food. She sources her ingredients from vendors who prioritize health above everything else. "Eat atleast 80% of healthy food and our body can definitely handle 20% bad food" she says. She inspired a sense of health consciousness in me.

My gratitude towards my sister is not limited to her homemade chocolates and health advises but I have always followed in her footsteps. She is an all-rounder- a wonderful dancer, a graceful singer, a brilliant painter, a great dubbing artist, a creative teacher, an amazing cook. She basically takes to everything like a duck to water, a being brimming with loads of creative energy. She taught me how to sing, her way of teaching is unconventional and so appealing to minds like mine. Suddenly she would say, scream like an ambulance passing and we would both go " Eeeeeeeeeeeeeee", in a squeaky voice. Then she would ask me to speak like Vaishnavi from the movie, "jeans" (If you didn't know, she's madhumitha's twin sister (herself in disguise)), I would ask "why?" but my question would be answered with another question, "Do you want to sing or not?" she would ask me back. She has a very unsual way of doing things but that's exactly what I enjoy the most, it is something that gives me a feeling of home.

Weirdness, when it is shared with somebody, when another human relates with it, you feel the most validated, most satisfied. My relationship with my sister is a feed for my soul!

What began as a blog about my sister's homemade chocolate, turned into a gratitude post!

PS: The drawing above is my funny attempt at drawing my sister!
